In all honesty I would rather go to the dentist than buy a new car. I hate buying cars. I hate the process, I hate the sleezy upsells, I hate the games..... that is, until I went to Yaletown Mini and met Philip Man. First of all the atmosphere wasn't something I had ever experienced before. I walked in and asked for Philip and his colleague said Philip was busy for another 5 minutes so his colleague asked if he could walk me through the cars while Philip finished up. He assured me they were all on the same team so there was no need to worry. As the host brought over my latte and his colleague wrapped up explaining the differences between the 2014 and the 2015 Minis, Philip walked over and started the process. There was no sales pitch. There was no upselling. He simply asked what I needed and wanted, he helped me find the Mini I wanted, and then we worked on the price. There was no back and forth, no checking with the manager, no upsells, and no games. It was the car buying process that every dealership should model. There's no doubt I will buy my next car through Philip and no doubt why year after year he is the number one salesman at Mini. Oh and by the way Graham in services knocked it out of the park too.

Giving 5/5 stars really underestimated my overall experience at Mini Yaletown. There is never a time where I come out of Mini Yaletown without feeling “beyond” satisfaction. My experience with Mini Yaletown always exceeds my expectation of what a car shopping experience should be like. They really raise the bar of excellence in customer service in the auto industry! From the moment I step into the shop, I was attended by every detail of my car shopping experience: friendly staffs, cozy show room, cute minis everywhere.. . Oh, and I forgot to mention the variety of soft drinks they offer! Shopping at Mini makes me feel so pampered like I am in a personalized car shop!

This is my second time purchasing at Mini Yaletown. Philip Man was the person who assisted me in the car trade. I went from a 2012 Mini into a 2015 Mini (Not a surprise). He was very knowledgeable, punctual and patience with my questions and indecisiveness. I went in the afternoon and drove out the new mini in a few hours. I was ecstatic with my new Mini!!! Philips is very helpful even after the car purchase. He is always available to answer any questions I have about my Mini!

I truly believe Mini Yaletown deserves 6/5 stars!

Phillip Man gave us the best car-buying experience that we have ever had by far!! His knowledge and enthusiasm were impressive. We had already decided to buy a Mini, but had no idea that getting into one could be so easy and fun. We were also impressed by his professionalism and that of the staff at Mini Yaletown, especially Kelli and Vince. One of the smoothest purchases we have ever made. Thanks Phillip!!

7/20/2015 - I was extremely impressed with Trevor Henderson and his genuine demeanor - very knowledgeable and passionate about making his clients happy - excellent job - I have already recommended friends to visit port moody Mazda for their next car

6/26/2015 - This was my first service appointment on my new vehicle.  It was set up at the time of purchase, confirmed etc through e-mail.  I had to drop off my vehicle before school even though my appointment was not until the afternoon.  During the course of the morning I received a message to say my car was ready for pick-up.  Why I was dealing with payment etc, my car was moved closer into a shaded area and all windows opened to cool it down on what was a blistering hot day.  Very considerate people.

3/17/2015 - I had scheduled by phone  and at the appointment time , there was a problem. Either I said the wrong date or it was entered incorrectly.  They did some juggling and I was still able to keep my appointment time :-)) That was a value added experience and I love that they wash my vehicle after servicing, great feature. I had a Cadillac previously and they offered that service but would always tell me they were backed up and could not provide the wash.

Recently, I equipped my Equus with a new set of summer tires (Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3) which were installed and balanced by another dealer on my original summer wheels. After a couple of weeks, on an occasion of driving at higher speed for a short burst (120 - 130 km/hr), I noticed vibration emanating from the front wheels. I brought this to the attention of Greg Dowswell at OpenRoad Hyundai and he offered to check it out. They proceeded to submit the front wheels to diagnostics for ‘Road Force Variation’ (a higher level of diagnostics than normal wheel balancing) thereby identifying that the right front tire itself was not in perfect balance at high speed rotation. The service department proceeded to correct the situation to bring the rotational lateral forces within necessary limits to eliminate the vibration at high speeds. Although this was not a matter that was required of the OpenRoad Dealership, they came through with their usual performance to earn my ‘Service with Excellence’ stars.

I look forward to taking my car in for service because I take great interest not only in my car but to follow developments in the auto industry. At this dealership and their Service Department, I can discuss small details to be tweaked and get total satisfaction – they have earned my respect and my commendation.

I am simply beyond impressed with the service and professionalism Bob provides.  In this day and age where I’m sure you would agree, finding “great” people and “keeping” great people is a massive challenge in all businesses, Bob is a standout. I have not only dealt with Bob myself, but also have seen his interaction with other of your customers. Bob truly is a fantastic representative of the OpenRoad brand.

It is definitely the best and only top luxury car dealership which offers best service and respecting customers. We bought our first Porsche from Kelly Kerr. He is very patient, friendly and professional. He & the dealership sold the 2nd 918 in BC! You should definitely go see the 1 million dollar car. Compare to Porsche Vancouver, this is where those gorgeous vehicles should really been served.

If you are even entertaining the idea or notion of getting a Mini, you need to do yourself a favour and visit Mini Yaletown. The minute I stepped in the door I was greeted by their friendly staff. I was happily greeted by Sharon Mehrtash and she spent the afternoon answering all my questions and concerns about the Mini. Having driven only Japanese cars I had quite a few questions to ask! No pressure sales, on my own schedule, I never imagined the whole experience would be so stress free ... Spec. out the details of the car, insurance, payment and delivery. It's not often the Sales Manager, Gerry Allin, would come by to ensure that they would do what they could to make you happy with your purchase. The whole staff made my experience most enjoyable in purchasing a new car. Gerry ... You were right, I do smile every time I get behind the wheel. :)
