Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has been on a roll the last couple of years, expanding their portfolio and introducing new and highly lauded products at a break-neck pace. The company added two more exciting entries a couple of weeks ago, presented at a special launch event in Vancouver.

“Jaguar and Land Rover are two distinct brands which share a lot of similarities — both are British, both have exquisite, award winning design and both brands represent something truly aspirational. Today I have the privilege of unveiling for the first time in Canada the Range Rover SV Coupe and the Jaguar F-PACE SVR. Both vehicles are developed and designed by Jaguar Land Rover Special Vehicle Operations and represent the pinnacle of luxury,” said experiential and partnerships manager Aleksandra Bulat.

The aforementioned Range Rover is tagged as the world’s first full-size SUV Coupe. Only 999 global units are being produced, and, with the exception of the hood and lower half of the tailgate, feature all new bumpers, body panels and trim pieces. Bejewelled emblems front and rear, handmade in the Birmingham Jewellery Quarter in the U.K., are a reminder of the model’s exclusivity and $335,000 price tag.

Compared to the interior of private jets and yachts, the cabin boasts semi-aniline leather front seats finished in a gradated diamond quilt design, a choice of single or two-tone colour and the introduction of “Nautica veneer” accents, which utilizes the latest technology to fuse walnut and sycamore woods together. Under the hood, JLR has installed the highest output version of its 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine generating 557 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

F-PACE SVR

Take everything that’s loved about the sporty F-PACE, shoehorn in the manufacturer’s famous boosted 5.0-litre V8, and this pretty much sums up the SVR variant of the crossover. The 550-horsepower, 512 lb-ft of torque mill helps propel the compact SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds. The 2019 model year also brings with it fresh seating options, a suede headliner, frameless rear-view mirror, illuminated door scuff guards, and additional driver assist functions. MSRP starts at $89,900.
